Wooohhoooo!!! Nova finished her American Championship in fine style, going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners
and Best of Breed the day after the PSESC Specialty for a 5 point major! Thanks to Jennifer Holmberg for her expert handling.
She also won Best of Breed her first day as a special, and went onto making the cut in the group! What a fun weekend for the crew!
I will be posting more photos to her gallery soon, check back!
Nova lives in Anchorage, AK with Cindy ,her Gordon Setter Harley and a Sunny X Madison puppy named Karat.
Nova has been in the showring in Alaska, and has also won a Best Puppy In Specialty at the Lone Star English Setter Club Specialty with Lori Whorff showing her. In addition to her weekly handling class, playdates with Bogie (Gordon Setter), visits to the pool, and trying to bring every houshold item outside she is pretty busy. Cindy had a great camera and the skills to use it, so I hope you enjoy seeing some of the remarkable photos she has taken as much as I have had receiving them. She has also started up in the field, so it will be neat to see how successful she is with this, as she has plenty of instinct and drive.

Nova won her first GROUP 1st at the Cook Inlet Kennel Club Shows in Alaska on November 9th, 2008 under Joe Tacker from California. This was a 4 point major win, and over some big winning sporting group competition! Thanks to Jamie and Sherry for training and showing her, and Joy for all her hard work grooming! Interestingly, Joe Tacker gave Nova's grandmother Ch Fieldgate Blue Moonwalker a Group 1st in a big show in Vancouver BC a number of years ago.
In June of 2009, Cindy drove 750 miles from Anchorage to Whitehorse for the Yukon Kennel Club shows.
There was no competition at breed level, so Nova had to win in the group to finish her Canadian title.
In the six shows she was entered in, she won 2 Group 1sts, 1 Group 2nd, 1 Group 3rd and 2 Group 4ths!
What a wonderful way to finish, as the last 2 wins of the weekend were Group 1sts!
Nova also won a Group 2 from the classes at the Alaska Kennel Club Shows on June 28th!
This girl is on a roll!
Here was Cindy's Christmas wish from 2007!
Dear Santa,
Here's a Christmas wish to make my Christmas glow,
All I'd like for Christmas is simply Best in Show.
If that's too much, dear Santa, then my heart would loop-de-loop,
If you'd see fit to give me a placing in the Group.
In fact I'd be quite satisfied, and not show too much greed,
If you'd be kind and generous, and give me Best of Breed.
Dear Santa, I'd be merry, and really feel quite rich
If you'd arrange a gift for me of Winners Dog or Bitch.
But I'd be joyful, Santa, and I'd dance the Highland Fling
If I would just have a puppy BEHAVE right in the ring!!!

*** Looks like Cindy's heart should be doing a loop-de-loop, she should be feeling satisfied, merry and rich,
plus be dancing a HIghland Fling in Alaska right about now!
