We are so happy to say that Nick completed his Field Dog Junior in Canada in 3 straight passes in April of 2015. He had great scores and will keep working towards his Junior Hunter title in the States and higher level birdwork also.  He is so great at this!  By finishing his FDJ, Nick is also awarded his Grand Champion Excellent title in Canada, as he has met the requirements for show wins also.  He is now a working pet therapy dog and enjoying it.  

 

Nick is now back in Kelowna BC, retired from the showring for the time being.  He had a great show career, living in Ontario with Will Alexander for a year and a half, and before that with Shawn and Nadeen Bennett of Sunsetter English Setters. He retires in the #1 spot for ES in Canada and the #4 All Breed spot for the US in 2014 (to August 18, 2014).  What a fine weekend he had at the Manitoba Shows to finish his career with Will: 2 Best in Shows, 1 Sporting Group Specialty, 4 All Breed Group 1sts, Best of Opposite at the ESCC National and Select Dog at the ESCC Regional Specialty.  We are so happy with his results and the amazing care and attention he had from Team Alexander.   

 

He was shown in both 2012 and 2013 and we are so happy with all the wins he and Shawn have had!  This includes a Best in Show, many group wins and group placements.  He has also sired a litter for Shawn and Nadeen, out of Renee (see pictures from the litters page).  He is a sweetheart of a dog and we are proud to say he finished up 2013 #1 English Setter in Canada, both in All Breed and Breed points, and #9 Sporting Dog in Canada. Nick was awarded ES of the Year for the ESCC!

While he was with us, we had a wonderful time showing Nick, finishing both his American and Canadian Titles with some really fine wins! In Canada, he won 8 of his needed 10 points as a puppy, and was shown again in August of 2010 in Calgary to finish his Can Ch with a 4 point Best of Breed win!  He made the cut in the group, and that was very nice as well.  In the US, he finished his American Championship with a 4 point win on the PSESC Specialty weekend of 2009 with a WD/BOS over specials, a 3 point major in Portland in Jan 2010, a 5 point Winners Dog at the Williamette Specialty in June of 2010, then a 4 point Winners Dog at the PSESC weekend in Sept 2010. While we are all really proud of Nick for his show wins, we absolutely love him for his loving, kind and sweet nature! He is a wonderful ambassdor of the breed, and we are so grateful for Richard and Cathy Brewer for choosing to use our Sunny for Madison, and entrusting us this great dog!
